Water-Damaged Avadi Library Sparks Calls for Renovation and Relocation

A social activist, Dharanidharan, has called for the renovation of a library in Avadi's 41st Ward. The current building is in poor condition and prone to water damage during the rainy season. He suggests relocating the library to a more suitable location to protect the books. Recently, the Tamil Nadu Education Minister visited the library and promised to initiate renovation work.

The library, situated in the Tamil Nadu Housing Board Residence in Avadi's 41st Ward, is in a state of neglect. The building's deteriorating condition, particularly during the rainy season, poses a significant threat to the valuable books within. Social activist Dharanidharan has raised concerns about the library's upkeep and has urged the Avadi Municipal Corporation to take immediate action. He believes that relocating the library to a more suitable facility would ensure better preservation of the resources.

In response to these concerns, the Tamil Nadu Education Minister recently inspected the library. Recognizing the urgent need for renovation, the minister has pledged to initiate the necessary steps to restore the library to its former glory.
